What to Expect:  Hobble Creek is a local favorite for golfers in Utah County and frequented by many from out of town as a destination golf course; and for good reason. Hobble Creek was the home course for the BYU women's golf team and had some of the best collegiate golfers in the United States participate in their annual BYU Invitational. LPGA greats such as Nancy Lopez, Pam Miller and Julie Inkster were participants. Also, great PGA players such as Billy Casper, Johnny Miller, Mike Weir, Mike Reid, Dan Forsman, Billy Johnston, Dean Wilson and Jim Carter frequent the course. Located in picturesque Hobble Creek canyon, the course features tree-lined fairways with its namesake creek winding its way throughout the course. The mountains seem to be right on top of you and provide a great backdrop for all golf shots. Hobble Creek isn't necessary long, topping out at 6,406 yards from the back tees, however to its defense the course has fast, sloped greens that force you to make accurate approach shots. If you get above the hole you are facing a likely three putt. The front nine has plenty of room for your tee shots and eases you into the round because the back nine is much narrower and requires accuracy off the tee. If you are driving through Utah County take the opportunity to play Hobble Creek, the course provides a variety of holes in a beautiful setting that can't be beat for the price.
