What to Expect: Walden on Lake Conroe has a reputation of being one of the most difficult courses in the Greater Houston area – and with good reason. The tight layout features fairways cut through the woods, challenging bunkers, and several water hazards. Homes are found along the outside of several fairways on the course and the club enjoys a solid practice range located on the opposite side of Walden Road. The highlight of the course is the “Bermuda Triangle” which consists of holes 11-13 and plays alongside Lake Conroe. Balls disappear on a daily basis through this dreaded loop that is both treacherous and gorgeous. The par five 11th hole is not only the best par five in the state, it is one of the best holes in the country. By the Numbers:
