What to Expect: Desert Canyon is a high desert course located in Central Washington a handful of miles north of Wenatchee. This public facility (collared shirt required/no denim) offers target desert golf on rugged terrain coupled with views of the Columbia River and Cascade Mountains. Several elevation changes exist on the course but none quite as dramatic as the 150 foot descension from the #15 tee box down to the green that rests on a ridge overlooking the Columbia River. The course caters to all level of golfers with five sets of tees and a par five that offers two greens; one along the fairway and the other over a crevasse. An additional highlight to this facility is the 3.5 acre 18 hole putting course that can be found near the clubhouse and offers a great family get-together spot or a fun way to workout any kinks with the flat stick. Overall, Desert Canyon is a top five public access course in Washington that offers a unique style are terrain compared to most heavily treed courses in the state. By the Numbers:
