Accolades: Ranked 7th in Utah on Golf Digest's 2007-08 Best in State list.
Signature Hole: 6th - 90-163 Yard Par 3 - This photographic gem is all carry to a smaller-than-average green. Playing to an immediate backdrop of mounding red rock cliffs and boulders, and a distant view of the often snowcapped Southern Utah mountains, #6 will always yield one of your best shots of the round - even if it is taken with your camera. Take enough club, and miss right if you must, or you will be left asking how one of your biggest numbers came on the shortest hole of the day.

What to Expect: Coral Canyon is a prototypical representative of Utah's famous Red Rock Trail. Year-round, standard-setting conditioning stands as a stark but beautiful contrast to the consistent red desert setting. Change of elevation, varied hole lengths and shapes, and fairways that are repeatedly crisscrossed by dry washes and arroyos, provide one of the most unique and enjoyable golf experiences to be found by golfers of all ages and experience levels.

Individual Hole Analysis
Best Par 3: #6 takes the distinct honor of signature hole and best par 3 on the course. #11 provides a forced carry and steep face to the green that requires a holding shot all the way to the putting surface, and #13 can play as long as 229 yards, but neither can equal the overall value of the 6th. Pound for pound, or perhaps yard for yard, one of the mightiest holes you will encounter.

Best Par 4: Contenders for the best par 4 include holes 5 and 12, where thoughtful consideration is required for club selection from the tee as a driver may put you in the heart of the trouble that purposely penetrates the natural landing area. Similarly, hole 8's fabulous design may take the driver out of consideration, but may also be the confident choice of those who dare to go for the only driveable green. The best of the bunch, however, is the devious 9th. Often played as the finishing hole, as management frequently prefers to reverse the sides, #9 features an array of well disguised trouble. Unseen water lies in wait for a drive too long and right (and then extends all the way up alongside the green), and an arroyo running the length of the hole on the left acts as a magnet for any shot that does not respect its presence. If you end up looking for your ball in the arroyo, make it a point to seek out the well hidden, yet fantastic slot canyon that is a miniature version of the famous Zion's narrows.
Best Par 5: The best 3-shotter is found on the second hole - the caboose on the rare back-to-back starting par 5s. The phrase 3-shotter may have never been more appropriate than on this architectural trophy. Two diagonally criss-crossing dry washes come into play from tee to green as they horizontally split the fairway into three landing areas whose safe yardages change with the angle and line of flight. The elevated green provides its own unique personality as it slopes from back to front, penalizing those who are past the pin.
Birdie Time: Short hole opportunities are found at numbers 3 and 11. Large greens provide receptive occasions for a green in regulation and a makeable putt. Bail-out areas are present but unnecessary as golfers of all levels should take a short iron and seek the center of the green. Further possibilities for red numbers occur at the short par 4 8th and the 525 yard 1st. Both can leave the prudent golfer with a chance to wedge it close, and knock down the bird.
Bogey Beware: If you reach the 15th with any aspirations of getting strokes back, you will quickly return to reality as Coral Canyon's four finishing holes are one of Utah Golf's toughest four-hole stretches. The par 4 15th owns the #1 handicap - and for good reason! Longer than many par 5s at a whopping 488 yards from the tips, and offering a decent view of the green from only the most perfect of drives, this monster leaves you feeling eternally indebted for the hard-fought bogey. A strong long game alone, though, cannot prevent a big number. Accuracy is required as a miss to the left leaves you far below the green and a just slightly errant shot to the right places you in a goal-tending, shot-collecting bunker.
